WINNERS OF THE MR AND MISS LEBOKU 2022
As we all know, the Ugep Leboku Festival always showcases so many talents, events, cultures, and memories. Mr. and Miss leboku contest is not an exception. Every year forms are sold to male and female indigenes of the Ugep community. These forms are used to indicate interest in participating in either Mr. Leboku as a male or Miss Leboku as a female.
Just like other years, the year 2022 leboku festival has come and gone with lots of goodies and memories. The Mr and Miss leboku content also took place as usual and the following results were obtained:
In the Male Category: Abam Henry, a 300-level student of Accounting at the University of Calabar, who hails from the Ijom council ward in Ugep knocked out seven other male contestants to become the reigning Mr. Leboku 2022.
Though it was not an easy decision, as all the contestants did very well, it was not easy to decide the winner, but in all, Abam Henry has announced the Winner of the Mr. Leboku Festival 2022. Other contestants like Ephrain Okoi showed unhappiness as he thought and believed he performed better than all the male contestants, therefore the right contestant to win the Mr. Leboku 2022, but the judges after much deliberations announced Abam Henry as the winner.
In the female Category, Miss Efah Livinus, a 400-level student of Microbiology at the University of Cross River State, UNICROSS who hails from the Ikpakapit council ward in Ugep knocked out four other female contestants to become the reigning Miss Leboku 2022.
RUNNER UP OF MR AND MISS LEBOKU 2022
After a very powerful and wonderful contest, Mr. Emmanuel won the First runner-up of Mr. Leboku 2022 and Mr. Ephraim Okoi won the second runner-up of Mr. Leboku 2022 in the male category.
While miss Wofai won the First runner-up in Miss Leboku 2022 and Miss Peace won the second runner-up of Miss Leboku 2022 in the female category.
Note: The position of Mr. and Miss Leboku also lasts for a period of one year with a benefit of a free car for life, and the winners automatically become the ambassador of the Leboku Festival for the year.
This first video is the cultural display of the Miss leboku 2022 contest. Each female contestant is expected to appear on stage with her cultural attire, to showcase any culture of the choice picked from the numerous cultures in Ugep. After the appearance of the female, the male also do the same by showcasing different cultures in Ugep.
The second video above shows the Unity dance between the Mr. Leboku contestants and the Miss leboku contestants. From the video, you can see that all the contestants dressed in the same attire to show the unity of the Ugep people.
